Who we are
RCH Travel Ltd ("RCH Travel", "we") is the data controller for personal data collected through this website. Contact us about anything in this policy at info@rchtravel.ie or 085 146 2550.
What we collect
When you send a quote request we collect the details you enter: your name, email address, phone or WhatsApp number, the service you want, travel dates, number of passengers, pick-up points and destinations, and any notes you add. If you call, email or WhatsApp us, we receive the details you share in that conversation.
We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies on this website.
Why we use it, and our legal basis
We use your details only to reply to your enquiry, prepare a quote and, if you book, to arrange and run your journey. Our legal basis is your consent (the tick box on the form) and the steps needed to enter into a contract with you (GDPR Article 6(1)(a) and (b)). Where we must keep booking records for tax or accounting, the basis is legal obligation (Article 6(1)(c)).
We will never sell your data, and we will not send you marketing unless you have separately asked us to.
Who we share it with
We share your data only with the service providers that help us run this website and handle enquiries: our web developer, Engage Media Solutions, and the hosting, database and email services they use to deliver your request to our inbox (Cloudflare, Convex and Google). They act on our instructions and may not use your data for their own purposes. Some of these providers may process data outside the EEA. Where they do, they are covered by appropriate safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
This site loads its fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser connects to Google's servers and shares your IP address with Google.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that don't become a booking are deleted within 12 months. Booking records are kept for as long as Irish tax and accounting law requires, which is usually 6 years.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, and to have it corrected or erased. You can also ask us to restrict or stop processing it, ask for a copy in a portable format, and withdraw your consent at any time. To use any of these rights, email info@rchtravel.ie. We will reply within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Data Protection Commission, 21 Fitzwilliam Square South, Dublin 2, D02 RD28, www.dataprotection.ie.
Security
The website runs over HTTPS. Access to your enquiry is limited to the people who need it to deal with your request.
